Freefall Experiment

Use a simple drop to measure gravity directly with the accelerometer.

Procedure

  1. Set up Micro:bit to log acceleration (see Acceleration Logger).
  2. Drop from a known height with padding below.
  3. Analyse how the acceleration changes during fall and impact.

Can you calculate g more accurately than 9.81 m/s²?
