BridgEd
CLASSROOM TRANSLATION DEMONSTRATOR

Translate the lesson, not just the words.

BridgEd allows classroom teachers to have a quick 5 minute conversation with EAL students in their native language, utilising a context-specific dictionary to support subject-specific language (in chemistry a 'base' is not a headquarters, but has a pH greater than 7). Keywords, glossaries and transcripts can be emailed and printed to support the student's learning.

Working public proof

BridgEd: translation interface, speech input, glossary-aware output and spoken playback.

Lantra: the separate dictionary layer used to refine subject vocabulary.

This online demo version is deliberately small to keep our costs down. The full app contains dictionary creation tools, multiple language support and left-ear, right-ear language channel separation for realtime conversations using any Bluetooth earbuds.
Use cases

Teachers, doctors, border guards, police and other public-facing roles.

Language can divide, but BridgED unites.
